The Alkyonis Hotel is in the centre of Nea Kallikratia, on the west side of the Halkidiki Peninsula. It is a family hotel situated by the sea, offering quality rooms and low rates year-round.
With easy access to Makedonia Airport (SKG) just 25 km away, and 35 km from the city of Thessaloniki, it is the ideal starting point for a tour of the Macedonia region and its sights.
The Halkidiki Peninsula consists of central Halkidiki with its coastal areas and mountains. It is divided into three smaller, finger-like peninsulas: Kassandra, Sithonia and Mount Athos.
Halkidiki is more than just a holiday destination: it is a complete experience both in summer and winter. Thick vegetation, overwhelmingly beautiful beaches, mountains reaching to the sea, traditional colour and historical interest all make up a uniquely appealing whole.
The cosmopolitan beaches, hidden bays with crystal-blue waters, endless beaches of sand and clear waters that reflect the green of the pine trees are the reasons that Halkidiki earns a “Blue Flag” designation year after year.
The Alkyonis Hotel is in the centre of Nea Kallikratia, and just 80 metres from a beach awarded a Blue Flag in 2008 for its crystalline waters.
Shops, tavernas, banks, coffee shops and other points of interest are all just a short distance from the hotel.
Nea Kallikratia, at an altitude of 20 metres, is a major town in Halkidiki within the Municipality of Propontida. It has a year-round population of 6,204 residents, with many more during the summer months.
